Extreme Sport Or Otherwise

Expanding on Sean Tucker’s extraordinary inspiring speech at OVCS 2015, he talked about a variety of qualities that one should possess to be successful in an extreme sport. Some of those were commitment, coordination, communication, persuasion, leadership, decision making, Risk assessment, trust, confidence, accountability.
In one of his videos shown, there was a part failure in his plane and he had to decide whether to jump out of the Plane or could he possibly steer and land it somehow. And we are talking about a decision to make in the precision of seconds. His decision had a struggle of all angles of emotional bond with the plane itself to loss of property to judging the best suited decision to keep himself safe. His decision of jumping out turns out to be the best judgment. And it takes a lot of guts to be confident when making such quick diligent decisions.
He talked about how much rapport should exist between his mentees/team and himself as a leader. Nothing is more inspirational than watching a leader who demonstrates all of these so flawlessly. They seem almost like invincible.
Regardless of any field or profession, these are the same qualities that will make an individual or a company the most successful and would distinguish a true great leader from the mediocre rest. In an ever changing technology era that we are in, it is the most important element to stay competitive at an individual and company levels. It resonates well with Heroes at work who would demonstrate a similar extreme skill during their work engagements and stand out due to the charismatic excellence in their work.
I often wonder about the individuals or companies who top and stand out by far amongst their peers and I find it very intriguing that it is not any one specific field or profession that is great by itself but rather it's the virtue of an individual who possesses these finest skills, that gives a charm to the work they do.
Hats off to all the Heroes across the Planet.
